Bring at least two quick-dry outfits (jeans are not recommended as they take too long to dry). • Footwear: lightweight waterproof hiking boots, river sandals (Teva-type), tennis/running shoes. If not bringing hiking boots, bring TWO pairs of tennis shoes. • Socks: bring extra pairs in case your feet get wet. • Rain gear: poncho and/or umbrella. • Camera with extra batteries, charger, and sufficient memory. • Resealable plastic bags to protect personal items in case of rain. • Small backpack or waist pack for excursions. • Sweater or lightweight jacket. • Sunglasses. • Swimsuit. ⸻ RESPONSIBILITY Destination Costa Rica DMC acts solely as an agent for the passenger regarding travel by air, land, or water, using any means of transportation, whether mechanical, non-mechanical, or animal. Destination Costa Rica DMC assumes no responsibility for loss, damage, injury, accident, death, delay, or irregularity caused by defects in any vehicle or transportation equipment, or by any act or failure of any hotel, restaurant, boat, airline, company, or person, including Destination Costa Rica DMC or its employees, providing any of the services included in the trip, or by any other circumstance beyond its direct control. Destination Costa Rica DMC is not responsible for additional expenses due to strikes, illness, force majeure, weather, personal health issues, earthquakes, floods, epidemics, fires, explosions, wars, accidents, road conditions, transportation delays, river levels, or other causes. Destination Costa Rica DMC reserves the right to change or cancel any tour without prior notice and to use the services of affiliated companies as needed. ⸻ OPERATIONAL CONSIDERATIONS • Destination Costa Rica DMC reserves the right to cancel or modify any client excursion without prior notice and to use the services of affiliated companies if necessary. • All contracted services voluntarily not used by the passenger will not be refunded. • We do not accept responsibility for theft or loss of luggage, documentation, or valuables under the passenger’s care. • We provide only the services indicated in these programs, excluding anything not expressly stated. • Quoted transportation is based on the number of travelers and assumes each person carries one suitcase and one small carry-on. If guests arrive with additional luggage and there is insufficient space in the bus storage compartment, and a larger vehicle is required, the client will be responsible for any additional costs. • Domestic and charter flights, rafting and float tours, rappelling, horseback riding, biking tours, aerial trams, canopy tours, ATV tours, and hanging bridges walks are subject to weight and size restrictions if included in the program. ⸻ PAYMENT AND CANCELLATION POLICY • All reservations must be prepaid at 100% no later than 45 days before the group’s arrival date. If any supplier requires an earlier deposit, deadlines will be communicated at the time of program confirmation. • For group cancellations, Destination Costa Rica DMC will refund partial deposits or prepayments if cancellation is received at least 45 days before the group’s arrival. However, supplier cancellation policies also apply, and refunds are subject to those conditions as well.
