Terms and Conditions
Children up to 3 years old are free. Children 4 to 11 years old receive a 15% discount on the adult fare. Children 12 and older pay adult rates. Important notes: • Promotion valid from September 01st to October 31st. -Reservations are subject to availability. • Taxes are included. • Rates are net and non-commissionable in U.S. dollars and include government taxes. Subject to change with prior notice. -The rental vehicle must be returned to the car rental agency at the same time it was originally delivered to the customer. Additional charges may apply for late returns. • They do not include excursions, meals, activities or services not specified in the itinerary. • In accordance with airport regulations, participants must be at the international airport at least 3 hours prior to flight departure. • Rates are based on a group landing and departing together, if any of the participants arrive or depart on a different flight and additional transfers must be added at an extra cost. • As of today, there are seats available for the above services. No reservation or blocking has been made, availability changes constantly and without prior notice so we recommend confirming as soon as possible to avoid losing the space and therefore the rates given. • The rates given do not include the air part. • If there is any physical problem for any of the clients, we would appreciate it if you could let us know in advance about making the necessary adjustments. • In the case of using domestic flights or boat transportation, the maximum weight allowed per person is 30 pounds (14 kilos). Any baggage in addition to the included baggage is considered excess baggage and can only be transported upon payment of an excess baggage fee. Additional and overweight pieces will travel subject to the space available on the aircraft. This applies to the boat trip to the Tortuguero area. DO NOT INCLUDE: • Roundtrip airfare to and from Costa Rica. • Tips for guides, drivers, bellboys and waitresses. • Alcoholic beverages and meals not specified in the program. • Optional excursions not indicated in the quotation. • Departure taxes and personal expenses. Things to consider for a trip to Costa Rica • Copies of passport. • Sunscreen and insect repellent. • Shirts: light cotton or quick-drying, long and short sleeves. • Cotton or lightweight synthetic long and short pants and shorts. • Bring at least 2 sets of clothes that dry quickly (jeans are not recommended as they take too long to dry). • Footwear: waterproof and lightweight hiking boots, sandals, river water shoes, tennis shoes. If you are not wearing hiking boots, be sure to bring TWO pairs of tennis shoes. • Socks: bring spare pairs in case your feet get wet. • Rain gear: poncho and/or umbrella. • Camera with spare batteries, charger and enough memory. • Zippered plastic bags to protect personal belongings in case of rain. • Small backpack or fanny pack for hiking. • Sweater or light jacket.- Sunglasses. • Swimwear. Liability • Destination Costa Rica DMC acts solely as an agent for the passenger with respect to travel. Whether by air, surface or water, by any means or transportation whether mechanical, non-mechanical or animal and assumes no responsibility for loss damage, injury, accident, death, delay or irregularity caused whether by reason of defect in any vehicle or other means of transportation or for any reason or by the act of default of any hotel, restaurant, ship, airline, company or person, including Destination Costa Rica DMC or its employees providing any of the services included in the trip, or any other circumstance beyond its direct control. • Destination Costa Rica DMC is not responsible for additional expenses due to strike, sickness, acts of God, weather, personal health, earthquakes, floods, epidemics, fires, explosions, wars, accidents, road conditions, delays in transportation, river levels, and force majeure or other causes. Destination Costa Rica DMC reserves the right to change or cancel any tour without prior notice and to use the services of affiliated companies as it deems necessary. Operational Considerations • Destination Costa Rica DMC reserves the right to cancel or change any of the client's excursions without prior notice and to use the services of affiliated companies if necessary. • All contracted services that are not used voluntarily by passengers will not be reimbursed. • We do not accept any responsibility for theft or loss of luggage, documentation and any value that is under the passenger's responsibility. • We offer the passenger only the services indicated in these programs, not including anything expressly indicated. • The transportation quoted is based on the number of people making the trip and considering that each person will carry one suitcase and a small hand luggage. If at the time of arrival, clients bring extra luggage and there is insufficient space to place it in the trunk of the transportation unit, and a larger bus is required, the client will be responsible for covering the extra expense. • Domestic and charter flights, rafting and float trips, rappelling, horseback riding, bicycle tours, cable cars, zipline tours, ATV tours and walking tours on suspension bridges are subject to weight and size restrictions, if the program includes any of these activities. Payments and Cancellation policy • All reservations must be prepaid in full 30 days prior to the date of arrival. For suppliers requesting an earlier deposit, the terms of the amounts will be announced to the client at the time of confirming the reservation of the services. • In case of cancellations, Destination Costa Rica DMC reserves its right to refunds subject to the supplier's cancellation policies which must be taken into consideration as well.
