SNORKELING AND HIKING AT CAHUITA NATIONAL PARK (CAT002)

Cahuita National Park has the largest system of Coral Reefs in Costa Rica, including 6 species of coral, a wide range of colorful tropical fishes and the occasional encounter of a harmless reef shark or sting ray. We start with a scenic 20 minute boat ride to have two snorkeling sessions. Then we get drop off at the Punta to enjoy some fruits and snacks break at the beach. Followed by a guided hike: monkeys, sloths, birds, iguanas and other interesting encounters are common.

CARIBBEAN SLOTHS (CAT004)

This highly recommended tour offers a delightful introduction to the wonderful world of the sloth. It includes a one-hour, guided, canoe ride through the bayous of the Estrella River Delta where, if you watch carefully, you may see wild sloths as well as other inhabitants of the rainforest. Next stop is the Learning Center where you will view a short video about the sloth and meet some of our resident adult sloths. We’ve saved the best for last...baby sloths!

DESCRIPTION

ARTISAN FISHING (CAT003)

This tour takes place in the surroundings of Cahuita National Park in a glass fibber boat with local fishermen as guides. Different fishing methods can be used, for example: Fishing using live bait, fishing using dead bait or deep fishing, fishing using fishing pull and an artificial lure. It is also possible to enjoy snorkeling while the guide captures live bait from around the reef. The types of fish that might be caught include: Tarpon, Barracuda, Shark, Grouper, jack, Blue and Green Jack, Red Snapper, Mackerel, King Fish and others.

DESCRIPTION

KEKOLDI AND BRIBRI INDIAN RESERVE (CAT001)

On this tour you will visit the Green Iguana farm and medicinal plant garden at the Kekoldi Native Reserve that is a big rural touristy attraction. We continued soon to the BriBri Indigenous Reserve, to the margins of the Telire River, place where the product market of the reserve takes place (bananas, banana trees, cacao, oranges, coconuts). Then the Waterfall is visited, considered by the natives as sacred, where you will be able to refresh yourself in the clean water, of this place full of energy. Finally, you will visit the group of women of ACOMUITA that elaborate Organic Indigenous Chocolate.

Pacuare is world famous for its pristine beauty. Being a true river gorge it is flanked by step green walls. Cascade into the river from both sides as colorful, tropical birds fly over your head. The wildlife is abundant, with sloths, toucans, parrots, coatis, butterflies and colorful frogs being common sights. The white water is equally exciting; the amount of rapids covered on this outstanding descend makes it a most memorable river trip. We finish in Siquirres at the private Center, where you can take a shower.
