Destination Costa Rica (DCR) initiated operations in March 1991. The founders had the vision to create a company that would be able to
serve the needs of the travel community, as the destination left its infancy and matured into one of the most desired locations in the
    Western Hemisphere.

Since operations began, the company has never waived from its primary goals. We are committed to our clients’ travel needs and
    providing unsurpassed professional service.
We remain acutely aware that, in too many instances, superior service has become the exception rather than the rule. Today’s almost
universal zeal to maximize the bottom line is frequently at the expense of quality. Our goal is to ensure that each client is totally satised
with their selected program. They enjoy the uniqueness that this wonderful country has to oer. It is our promise to create an experience
so memorable that your clients will not only recommend Costa Rica, but other destinations to associates and friends. They will fall in love
with this remarkable country and return to visit more than once.

     What CST is all about?

It is a program that seeks to categorize and certify each tourism company according to the degree to which its operations comply to a
model of sustainability. To this eect, four fundamental aspects are evaluated:

Physical-biological parameters: Evaluates the interaction between the company and its surrounding natural habitat.

Infrastructure and services: Evaluates the management policies and the operational systems within the company and its infrastructure.
External clients: Evaluates the interaction of the company with its clients in terms of how much it allows and invites the client to be an
active contributor to the company's policies of sustainability.

Socio-economic environment: Evaluates the interaction of the company with the local communities and the population in general.
