The Monteverde Cloud Forest is a private reserve located along the Cordillera de Tilaran mountain range.  Named after the nearby town of
    Monteverde and founded in 1972, the reserve consists of over 10,500 hectares of tropical rainforest (90% is virgin), 6 ecological zones and
    it is visited by roughly 70,000 visitors a year.  An extremely high biodiversity, consisting of over 2,500 plant species, 100 species of
    mammals, 400 birds’ species, 120 reptilian and amphibian species, and thousands of insects, has drawn scientists and tourists since.


      MONTEVERDE RESERVE
      Half day - Duration: 4 hours approx.
    Feels like walking in a grandiose green Cathedral.  Wind-sculptured eln woodlands
    on the exposed are spectacularly dwarfed, whereas protected cove Monteverde
    rainforest have majestically tall trees festooned with orchids, bromeliads, ferns, vines
    and mosses.  Poorly drained areas support swamp forest while parts of the
    Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve, dissected by deep gorges, have numerous crystal
    clear streams tumbling over rapids and waterfalls.  Spectacular wildlife includes the
    jaguar, ocelot, wild hog, tapir, three-wattled bellbird, bare necked umbrella bird and
    the famous elusive resplendent quetzal.
    WHAT TO BRING: light clothes, insect repellent, binoculars, camera and hiking shoes.

                                                MONTEVERDE SKY TRAM, SKY TREK & SKY WALK
                                                Half day - Duration: 3 hours approx.
                                               SKY WALK is a combination of suspension bridges and platforms built in the cloud
                                               forest that oers an opportunity to explore the forest canopy in a safe and easy
                                               manner.  Then we continue this adventure with SKY TRAM heading up to one of the
                                               highest mountain of the Monteverde area.
                                               And at last the SKY TREK is similar to other canopy tours in Costa Rica.  A complex
                                               system of cables and platform that allow you to zip from one mountain to the next.
                                               In total a you will slide for about 1.2 miles (2.5 kms) a speeds of 40 miles per hour or
                                               more and an altitude that oscillates between, altitudes’ also oscillates between 2500
                                               feet and 524 feet.
                                               WHAT TO BRING: tennis or hiking shoes, camera, binoculars, jacket and suntan lotion.





     HORSEBACK RIDING
     Half day - Duration: 2 hours approx.
    We will depart and go through private trails and public low transited roads for
    approximate 2 hour ride.  Along the tour you’ll be able to observe the abundant ora
    and fauna richness, native to the region.
    WHAT TO BRING: long pants, bus spray, comfortable shoes and camera.
